Dr. James is a Research Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the Director of the Autism Metabolic Genomics Laboratory at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Research Institute. She received her undergraduate degree from Mills College in Oakland, CA and her doctorate in Nutritional Biochemistry from UCLA. Dr. James has more than 25 years of research experience and is nationally and internationally recognized as an expert in on folate and glutathione metabolism. Her research has been funded by NIH and the Department of Defense and is focused on metabolic, genetic, and epigenetic abnormalities in children with autism and their mothers.
